Dump Your Drugs

The Community Alliance 4 Youth Success, in partnership with local law enforcement, hosts several Dump Your Drugs events throughout the year. These events are a hassle-free way for community members to drop off their unused/expired prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs. In addition, there are permanent drop boxes located at the Midland County Law Enforcement Center, the Michigan State Police post (Freeland) and Coleman Family Pharmacy. Let’s work together to keep our community safe!

Equipping Church Leaders To Support Midland’s Addiction Recovery Efforts

The link between faith and recovery from addiction is well known. The Midland County Treatment & Recovery Coalition is hosting an event specifically for leaders of our local faith community. The event will include update on Midland’s opioid situation; recent progress on prevention, treatment and recovery efforts; locally available resources; and training on how to administer NARCAN to reverse an overdose. The meeting also will include a brainstorming session about the role of the faith community in local recovery efforts. For more information, contact The Legacy Center’s Kathryn Tate at (989) 496-1425 or ktate@tlc4cs.org.
