Substance Use Prevention

The Legacy Center offers school- and group-based prevention services through our Certified Prevention Specialist.

School-Based Instruction:

  • Positive Action®, a 7-8 week educational, character-based curriculum offered to local middle schools.
  • Botvin LifeSkills® Training for 4th and 5th grade students. This highly effective curriculum has been proven to help increase self-esteem, develop healthy attitudes, and improve knowledge of essential life skills – all of which promote healthy and positive personal development.

Group-Based Training:

  • Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPs®), a nationally recognized server-training program utilized in Midland County to address underage drinking, drinking and driving and alcohol misuse
  • Retailer identification and policy education of the sale of tobacco and alcohol
